Loneliness and Isolation
Everyone needs friendship and conversation. Yet we know that loneliness and social isolation are real issues for lots of people in the UK – of all ages. And the number of people who describe themselves as lonely is growing every year.
Our Response:
Working in partnership with local services, Transforming Plymouth Together has already helped create community hubs, places of welcome, lunch clubs such as the St Jude's Church Community Hub Café to tackle loneliness in our communities. And we won’t stop there, because we understand just how important it is to be able to make friends, and meet friends.

One of our key areas of work is on Dementia. We have worked with churches throughout Plymouth and helped them to become 'dementia friendly'.
