Over the summer, 18 churches in Plymouth worked together to host just under 40 events that were free, fun and provided a meal to children and families in the city.

For 2019 the Hope4Summer events were renamed ‘Feast of Fun’ as a way of incorporating all school holidays, focus on the community and social aspect of the events not just the provision of food. All of the events were free to attend and open to everyone, not just those who receive free school meals. See the list of scheduled events here.

Transforming Plymouth Together supported churches across the city, from a range of different denominations and sizes to host even more events and provide food and fun to more children and families in need.

Receiving funding from National Lottery Community Fund, North Yard Trust, Virginia House Trust, Bellefonte Trust and TPT itself, the Feast of Fun programme was a great success and enjoyed by all who attended.

Working on the feedback and data gathered after the summer, we have written a report to look in further detail at the impact and feedback of the Feast of Fun project we have written a report which can be found here.

We have also created a video from the footage and interviews we took over the summer.
