Oasis Foodbank Co-ordinator Recruitment

The award winning community centre, Oasis Project, home of Plymouth Foodbank are seeking to recruit a new Project Co-ordinator.

Based at Oasis Project, Manor Street, Stonehouse, as the Oasis Foodbank Co-ordinator the role will oversee the work and development of the Foodbank, taking responsibility for each session, supporting clients and volunteers. Working closely with the Oasis Project Manager to continue to develop the Christian ethos and sustainability of the Oasis Project with particular reference to the Foodbank.

The Oasis Foodbank Co-ordinator will be the face of the Plymouth Foodbank and be responsible for liaising with funders, food providers and referrers and so require someone who is self-motivated, hard-working, with experience of managing and energising volunteers, who is at ease working in a team environment.

The appointment commences on 1st April and is for 32 hours a week to include Foodbank sessions. Specific working days are negotiable. The total salary is between £18,317 and £20,590 (32 hours) dependant on experience.

Closing date for applications is midday on Monday 17th February with interviews taking place during the week of 24th February.

It is a genuine occupational requirement that the Oasis Foodbank Co-ordinator is a practicing Christian who can work within the ethos of the Methodist Church.
