Transforming Plymouth Together work alongside charities and organisations across the city who support and empower refugees and people seeking asylum. We are encouraging churches to help welcome refugees into their church families by extending friendship, compassion and offering practical assistance where needed. Welcome Churches has a network of over 1,100 Christian communities who have welcomed 18,000 refugees to the UK in the last 12 months.

By joining the Welcome Churches Network your church will be provided with great ideas and resources to celebrate refugees within your community. To find out more please contact TPT or visit the Welcome Churches website here.

Resettling from Hong Kong

If your church has welcomed people from Hong Kong as part of the government resettlement scheme, there are some great resources available through the UKHK website here.

TPT are currently able to provide copies of a bilingual book designed for primary school-age children from Hong Kong, introducing interesting information about UK life and culture, activities, and services for children and parents. Please get in touch to order free copies for your church or community group - hello@transformingplymouthtogether.org.uk
